Ubisoft Is Optimistic about the Wii U's Future

Nintendo's Wii U has been released and is now looking for quality video games in hopes of wningin back the love and affection of millions of gamers. One company that answered the call is Ubisoft. The French global video game publisher and developer has recently released a number of game titles which it said has what it takes to assure the Wii U's future. A Ubisoft official who declined to be identified related that Ubisoft actually has a long high-quality line-up for Wii U. Bigger titles are also in the works and gaming enthusiasts can start anticipating the release of Watch Dog, Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. He also said that they are extremely confident that this will aid them with drawing in more gamers. Nintendo, which is the wing behind the Wii U system, vowed to do everything in its power to ensure the success of Wii U in the tech market.

The Successor: Wii U

Wii U is the successor to the hit video game console, Wii. However, Nintendo insists that it is not an upgrade but rather, an entirely new system. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said that Wii U is actually Nintendo's latest offering of an all-new home console. It is not just an upgraded version of their earlier release but is the product of an entirely new system that will transform the way people and their families experience games and entertainment in general. This means that people needs to be introduced to new video games again. Wii U needs to start all over. Fortunately, the French video game company is there to give Wii U a much needed boost.

The Obstacle

Aside from the back-to-start scenario, Wii U is facing another obstacle in the form of mobile computers. Smartphones and tablets, completely dominating the market in countries like France, are currently lording over traditional consoles. Many enthusiasts prefer playing instant mobile games rather than the ones that require players to set up a TV screen and a couch. Because you see, most phone service providers not only offer additional minutes or extensive data plans but they also offer free downloads of online games. Among the most played mobile games today are Hitman, Asphalt Series, Dead Space, Temple Run, Gangstar Vegas, and Angry Birds. If Ubisoft and Nintendo really want to become the best, they should come up with something that is as compelling as the games mentioned above.

Xbox's Edge

Xbox Live may get the upper hand against Nintendo as the online multiplayer gaming console who signed a deal with Windows 8 to offer free poker games. Mobile poker is one of the biggest video games today. It is big in the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. You can't fault people if they fall in love with mobile poker. Aside from the fact it is fun and entertaining, it also gives aspiring pro card players the chance to win cash or qualify for many international poker stages like the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker. Xbox realizes how big the game is. Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that the Windows 8 platforms will come together with free poker. It would also offer Xbox Live support to play with real competitors online. Xbox can somehow lure more gamers in because poker enthusiasts can use Xbox poker to develop their skills or prepare themselves for big poker events. Nintendo has nothing to be worried about because Ubisoft is one of the top game developers in the world. Its Wii U has a bright future. People only need a bit of getting used to it.
