Losing hair can be quite normal if the number of hair strands you will lose each day is within the normal range about 75 to a hundred strands. When your hair fall goes beyond this number, that is the time that you have to worry.

These days , more and more people are experiencing hair loss or thinning. As we all know, we will not be able to treat a certain condition not unless we know what started it in the first place. With that in mind, here are some of the most popular hair loss types today.

Androgenic alopecia. This is more commonly known as male pattern baldness. This is not exactly hair loss but is more of hair thinning. Women and men who have this experiences more than just slow hair growth. The strands of their hair also gets weaker. Most cases like these are attributed to hereditary issues. If you are experiencing this condition, then it breaks my heart to say that there is only little that can be done to address this issue.

Cicatricial alopecia. This is also known as scarring alopecia. This is not anninherited condition but the reasons why this condition occurs is purely physiological. Persons who have this condition have inflamed scalp. This inflammation leads will produce the scar tissue to build at the top of the scalp. Hair follicle gets damage until it reaches the point of scarring, preventing any hair from growing beneath the follicle. If you have a condition like this, this is permanenet and nothing can be done to reverse the said effects.

Alopecia Areata. This is one of the side effects of autoimmune diseases. This type of hair loss is already known in the medical field yet the underlying cause has not been discovered yet. Most people who have this condition are quite healthy. According to experts, the condition may be a result of poor nutrition or it ca be environmental conditions.

Telogen Effluvium. This type of hair loss is one of a kind since it produces a great change in the normal hair growing cycle of a human. This is no genetic condition. On the other hand, this hair loss type occurs when a person has encountered a sever shock either physically or mentally. This type of hair loss forces the hair to go into resting phase of the normal hair growth cycle prematurely . The shock that produces this kind of hair loss is no regular shock. In fact, it is one that may cause a visible change in your daily life. It can be depression, pregnancy or any type of disease.

Traction alopecia. This is one type of hair loss that can be easily prevented. This type of hair loss is brought about by a boosted level of pressure that comes from hair styles. These hair styles place tension on our hair scalp which pulls the roots of the hair. As a result, the root will be weakened preventing it from growing healthy hair.
