In the USA there is super abundance of food. Due to this Americans eat more per capita than any other population in the world. The typical American food consists of fried high aft and carbohydrate rich food such as steaks, burgers, rolls, flambé and chateaubriand. This tendency to over indulge in fats and protein has left most Americans struggling with obesity, which not only makes you look bloated and unfit but also causes major health hazards such as blood pressure, angina pectoris, diabetes, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcers, indigestion, constipation, flatulence and other digestive disorders.

To combat this trend more and more Americans are option for a new American diet that is high in fruits and vegetables and low on greasy, oily and fried food. The two major sources of protein of Americans are chicken and red meat, both of which are consumed in prodigious quantities by an average American. While a high protein diet is essential for athletes who do tremendous amounts of physical work, over-consumption of meat can and regularly does cause massive health problems such as gall bladder stone, kidney stones, prostate cancer, hernia, obesity, gout, arthritis and other debilitating diseases. Meat consumption should therefore be kept to a minimum.

Dairy Products

Dairy products are rich in fat and carbohydrates and some minerals and Vitamin K. which helps in keeping the blood flow in the veins of the body smooth and trouble free. Milk consumed without adding sugar in it is a great benefit to health. Cheese and butter add to the obesity prevalent in Americans, but around 32 pounds of cheese is consumed every year by the average American. Specific low fat dairy products like double toned milk and fat free cheese contain all the food value of the product while lessening the harmful impact of the products on the body.

The best skin care products are not all to have good skin. One should also keep track of the food that they eat. The American way of grilling, baking, roasting and boiling also keeps skin glowing and free from pimples as well.
