5 New Beauty Tips to Try This Summer

Summer is here and you're showing more of yourself to the world. The hot sun and salt water can be rough on your skin. If you want to be a natural summer beauty, try these beauty tips. Not only will you have radiant skin, you'll look better than you have in years.

1. Eyebrow Threading

Eyebrow threading is one of those beauty tips you may have never heard of. If you've been pulling, yanking, waxing, and tweezing your eyebrow, chin, and lip hair, there's a much better way. Eyebrow threading is much safer for your skin than waxing. Commercial wax contains resins, fragrances, dyes, and parabens that could do serious damage to your health.

Threading uses 100% cotton thread to quickly and efficiently remove hair from the root. It's a great choice for sensitive skin and it lasts much longer than other hair-removal methods. Eyebrow threading gives an attractive shape to your brows waxing and tweezing just can't provide.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is for more than just salad. You can also use it to improve the look and feel of your summer skin. Pour raw organic apple cider vinegar on a clean cotton ball and apply it to acne-prone areas. After a shower or workout is the best time to use this inexpensive natural beauty treatment. You can also use apple cider vinegar to soothe the sting of sunburn.

3. Baking Soda

That dusty box of baking soda in your bathroom has many beauty uses. Add some to your toothpaste to whiten your teeth for a sparkling smile. Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with water to gently scrub and exfoliate your skin. Dab a bit of baking soda paste onto a bug bite and ease the sting and inflammation instantly.

You can also rinse your hair with a combination of baking soda and water to clean excess dirt and oil from your hair and leave it feeling silky and smooth. Just combine 1 part baking soda to 3 parts water and put into a squeeze bottle. Step into the shower and mix the combination into your hair. Allow to sit for 2-3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

4. Chamomile Tea

Want to lighten your hair without harsh and dangerous dyes? Try chamomile tea. Bring a pot to boil, remove from heat, and place 4 teabags in to steep. Allow the mixture to cool completely. Pour it into a spray bottle, get into the shower, and saturate your hair. Cover with a cap and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse. You'll have beautiful, beachy hair all summer long!

5. Sunlight

Sunlight as a natural beauty supply? Sure. Many people completely avoid the sun because they're afraid it will cause skin cancer. The truth is moderate exposure to sunlight can actually help prevent skin cancer. Fifteen to twenty minutes of unprotected sun exposure helps your body manufacture necessary vitamin D. It also gives you a natural and beautiful summer glow.

Many store-bought sunscreens contain parabens and retinyl palmitate that have been linked to the development of cancer. If you're going to be out for longer than thirty minutes, opt for natural, organic sunblock with zinc or titanium dioxide. These compounds sit on your skin instead of absorbing into it.

You don't have to spend a fortune to look good in the summer. These beauty tips will not only save your wallet, they'll improve your health too!

What about you? What are your favorite summer beauty tips?
